To start with it was the most amazing day with full of work and duties.. For me performing 4 times on stage with two different songs and clicking clicking clicking everyone. everybody recognized me and asked "are you Mona Jain, I said yes and they say amazing photographs and hey you are clicking officially today for SDIPA". Was never more proud of myself. This funk truly made me a star, a star who clicks..lol
It was indeed very special funk, i completed six years of dancing with SDIPA. 2005 winter funk i performed for the first time and now i don't even remember how many times i have been stage and cherished the moment. Being on stage is like being home. the best feeling of world when you are in the wings and 5-6-7-8 there your song starts. to make the day complete i got certified by Shiamak as the most dedicated towards SDIPA.. ufff that feeling cannot be replaced and explained. 6 years i have spent here, the place i consider my home and finally some recognition i got. May be not by dancing but at least through photography. haha but i hope people realize that i am a DANCER first and then a photographer. and indeed DANCE IS THE REASON I AM A PHOTOGRAPHER TODAY. it gave me that creativity, inspiration, motivation and most importantly vision to create something like DANCE PHOTOGRAPHY! So this was my way to tell you guys how was the great winter funk 2011... I know i am a bit late, hehe sorry! I miss my classes, i miss this day1 i miss everything! Everything about SDIPa is so sepcial, the show day, duties, classes, our very own instructors, costumes, morning reporting time, technical rehearsals, the final performance, Shiamak T-shirts, certificates everything is so like being home. and it is my HOME where i can be myself. No pretendness, no worrying about what people think of me no fakeness just Me. :D Thank you Shiamak and thank you God for giving me the gift of Dance. <3
